The YS Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a virtual display team for YSFlight simulator, a free flight simulator downloadable here. We fly the same aircraft as the real Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the majority of displays use one spitfire, one hurricane and one lancaster, however some displays use the DC-3 Dakota, and we train on De Havillund Chipmunks. At some displays we will find temporary pilots to fly alongside our three regular pilots and have up to 3 spitfires, 2 hurricanes and 1 Lancaster. We aim to fly realistically and become a regular favourite at YSFlight airshows, just as the real Battle of Britain Memorial flight have become in real life airshows.
